Breast Cancer Awareness - Myth Buster Campaign

With The Times Group, I created a breast cancer awareness campaign for a Bangalore based restaurant. Rather than going for a traditional approach, I decided to go for myth busters with succinct copy, titled ‘Off the chest’. This was a four day campaign that appeared in the Times Newspapers and social media pages. Food imagery is used to maintain the restaurant’s presence.

Most breast lumps are benign (non-cancerous) conditions like cysts or fibroadenomas. Only a medical evaluation (clinical exam and imaging) can determine whether a lump is cancerous.

Breast cancer risk does increase with age, but it can develop in women of all ages. Young women in their 20s and 30s have been diagnosed, too, and cases among women under 50 are rising.

Chemotherapy doesn’t increase the risk of heart diseases, it can only cause temporary rhythm issues.

Claims that bras block lymph flow are unfounded, and large studies have found no increased risk with bra use.
